Sharon Alaghband
Director

Alaghband works closely with Heirston to vet artworks at art fairs, auctions, and during private sales.  She performs market, and art historical, research, and is responsible for collection appraisals. Her previous work experience includes Eykyn Maclean Ltd., London; Simon Dickinson Ltd., New York and London; Bonhams Auction House, New York; and Leila Heller Gallery, New York. She attended New York University and The Courtauld Institute of Art, where she received a Masters in the History of Art.

John Grzymala
Controller

Grzymala oversees the advisory’s finances. During his thirty years of financial experience, he has served as CFO for several private companies.  Prior to the advisory, Grzymala acted as Executive Director of a family office specializing in private equity, and additionally managed the office’s extensive art collection. Grzymala received an MBA from the University of Connecticut and BSBA in accounting from Babson College.

Rita Peters
Public Relations

Peters develops the advisory’s public relations and media objectives. She assists Heirston in the research, and advancement, of artist interviews, articles, exhibitions reviews, and other long-term publications. In addition, she manages digital content for social media platforms, and coordinates philanthropic and art-world events.

Emily DeClement
Registrar

DeClement is primarily responsible for the tracking and management of Kim Heirston Art Advisory’s client inventory, as well as coordinating all aspects of logistics including the shipping, handling, installation, restoration, and invoicing of artworks. Other duties she is involved in are focused on market research, archive management, and creating digital renderings. Her previous experience within the gallery and auction world include Hauser & Wirth and Christie’s Auction House. She studied Fine Art and Art History at Mason Gross at Rutgers University and received her MFA in Museum Exhibition Planning & Design from University of the Arts.

Laura Rendon
Research and Sales Assistant

Rendon is involved in research and acquisitions at the advisory. Her responsibilities include in-depth art historical investigations, auction analysis, monitoring market trends and developments, emerging artist research, and assisting in sales. Rendon is also involved in special exhibitions held by the advisory. A graduate from NYU with a specialized major in Art Theory and the Art Market, her academic journey involved delving into the interplay between evolving theories and artistic practices over time as influenced by market dynamics.
